"Morris Lessmore loved words.

He loved stories.

He loved books.

"His life was a book of his own writing,

one orderly page after another."

Morris would record his hopes and dreams,  his experiences and his milestones.  One day a storm blows in, turning things topsy-turvy.  Everything Morris knows is all mixed up, even the words of his book. Without his familiar surroundings, and the anchoring words of his past, Morris is lost.

A stroke of luck leads Morris to a fantastical world where books can fly, and where they truly come to life. Once he enters, he knows he has found his new home.

So begins the amazing story of Morris Lessmore and his life-long love affair with books.

A blend of Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, a 2014 Young Hoosier Award nominee and also the inspiration for an Academy Award winning short film, will speak to anyone who loves the written word, young and old alike.

Happy Reading!
